Thyme is commonly used in the same places as oregano and complements its power. It cleans the skin, can stimulate the nerves, and is very warming. Thyme is still very potent and should be used in extreme dilution. Diffuse in very small amounts or apply topically in max 2% dilution.
Thyme has been used in ancient herbal medicine. The Greeks, Egyptians and the Romans all found it to be useful. The Greeks would use it in their temples as an incense and the Egyptians used it in embalming. During the Middle Ages it was given to Knights for courage and was carried into courtrooms and large areas of gathering to ward off diseases.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Undiluted oil not intended for topical use. May irritate eyes and skin. If pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your doctor or health practitioner before use. Infant use discouraged.
